Now this really is the Christmas challenge; finding, deciding and committing to a gift for mum! Getting something she’ll like is like the holy grail of Christmas shopping.
All I can say is, good luck. These ideas will certainly point you in the right direction but whatever you get, it’s a risk.
Speaking of risks… Lingerie is a risk, but one worth taking in my humbled opinion. If you can pull it off (i.e. make sure you know her actual size) then it will go down well. Very well.
Crabtree & Evelyn Floral Hand Therapy Tin
I’m not even entirely sure what this is but I’m pretty sure it smells nice. From Qwerkity, at the very least it has some award winning hand cream in it.
Love Boo Pampering Spa Kit
A perfect pampering treat for mummies of all ages and stages. Everything she needs for a full-on spa session in the luxury of her own home. Silky Soft Body Wash with super-moisturising avocado oil, Super Stretchy Miracle Oil, which helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks and our award-winning Bosom Buddy, a fantastic firming treatment for boobs with lifting, toning centella and gingko biloba.
Pink Fizz Hamper
A lovely hamper with some bubbles to accompany, from BHS. (The alcoholic kind of bubbles, just to clarify!) This could also be tied in with a nice romantic date. You could pop the cork on a romantic picnic!
You don’t have to break the bank and take her abroad, but a nice romantic getaway in the heart of the english countryside would be a fantastic gift. Sykes Cottages have plenty of options, including some child friendly properties, for those of you who can’t shake off the kiddies!
I purchase the wife a watch for her anniversary present and it went down a treat. Far better than most of my other gifts, so I’m filled with confidence when recommending a watch. There are so many great options but Ive found some, at great prices, from TK Maxx.
Scarf, hat, gloves
I reckon this is always a safe bet as a little gift that can be used to pad things out. Not an expensive option, but often looks quite large when wrapped up. This Hat and Scarf set from Amazon is a great deal I reckon!
Appliances are obviously dangerous ground, so tread carefully here but I am confident that any SMEG appliance is exempt from the usual ‘appliances as Christmas Gifts’ rules. We’ve found a good one here for you.
Anything from Etsy…
Enough said really. Obviously, Etsy has plenty of things for gents as well, but their array of products an gifts for mums is quite something. You can get all kinds of personalised bits and pieces as well as some hand crafted nik-naks!
Lumie Body Clock
Lumie Bodyclock is the original wake-up light, also called a dawn simulator. It wakes you gradually with increasing natural light. This is a signal for your body to ease production of sleep hormones (e.g. melatonin) and increase those that help you get up and go (e.g. cortisol). Wake-up lights help to keep your sleep cycle on track, boosting mood, energy and productivity levels all day.
A good few options for you to choose from there. And with 1 or 2 of them you can’t go wrong. That being said, if you do still need some more inspiration, then here’s another gift guide for her here.
