Christmas Gifts for Kids

Gifts for Kids

Christmas is all abut children. Sure, adults enjoy aspects but really, it’s a stress, expense and family politic nightmare. Im sure that most parents enjoy Christmas because they have children and enjoy seeing their children have a nice time. And what better way to help our children have a wonderful Christmas than by lying to them about a stranger creeping into their bedrooms at night! Of course, I am referring to Santa Claus! Mind you, it would be darn sight cheaper if Santa did bring a shed load of presents!

No such luck. But that’s where we come in. We’ve compiled, not just a list of great present ideas for your kids, but also some deals & cheap prices to help you stay within your budget this year.

Cnoc16 Red

I remember, very vividly, learning to ride a bike on 2 wheels. I remember also, my first bike. What a wonderful Christmas gift a bike is. Islabikes make great bikes that are perfect for a child’s first encounter on 2 wheels.

Chicco Fiat 500

Just to clarify, this is not an actual Fiat 500, but rather a nifty little remote control one. This is the kind of present that you buy “for the kids” knowing full well that you want to play with it. The controls of this have been well thought out by Chicco, so it’s accessible for younger children. Get one at a great price here.

Driving school

A Young Driver lesson in progress

If you’re looking for a gift idea for a teen or pre-teen that’s guaranteed to be well received, Young Driver is sure to hit the spot. Young Driver offers driving lessons for 11-16 year olds – so up to six years before they can legally take to the roads, they can get a taste of what it’s like to be behind the wheel.

This is a really lovely gift for a young child. In my mind our children nowadays seem to have lost their imaginations and it’s gifts like this that will bring them back. :) This is from Qwerkity and very reasonably priced!

PLAY 8755 32 #

Obviously! Possibly one of the greatest toys ever made! Playmobil has more than stood the test of time and still produces incredible toys that span the entire childhood phase. This is from the new Fairground collection and I think would make a fabulous, fun gift for any child.

Personalised Football

Any sports loving kid would think this is just an amazing present; a football with their name on it. This Mitre football is a good quality football too!

Remote Controlled Helicopter

Oh come one! I couldn’t have a gift guide and not include a remote controlled helicopter, you know that! This one is from BHS and more than competitively priced.

Rubik’s Cube Light

The Rubik’s Cube was invented years ago and has been a successful (and frustrating) toy ever since. This one however has the added element of being oversized and it lights up. A fab twist on the original marvel from Maplin! Get one here.

Kano is a computer, that allows children (aged 6-12) to build and code themselves. They say it’s as easy as Lego, and that’s pretty straight forward but at the end of this, you have a computer that you have coded yourself. You have to check this out as your kids would love it.

Bean Bags

A great gift for any child to relax and chill out on. Take a look at Bean Bag Bazaar for some great bean bags.

Board Games

Really it’s a gift the whole family but with these board games from MegaBleu, you’ll have laugh after laugh. We’ve been playing MegaBleu games all over Christmas and they’ve been brilliant.

The ones we tested out were really engaging due to the ‘practical/hands on’ nature to them. These are not just board games. The kids had fun, even just setting the games up, let alone playing. Shooting Aliens in Alien Mission was the family favourite and went with us everywhere, even grandmas house.

We’d really recommend taking a look at MegaBleu games. They have a great range of options and will likely get you hooked on playing like we did!

We’ve also done a bit of research and found that Smyths Toys Superstores have so many amazing deals and great prices. If you’re looking for toys, check them out.

And if all that isn’t enough to keep you going, check out this other great gift guide for kids here.
